the show was held at moynihan station sans air conditioning, but the heat only added to the glow gucci westman {remember her?} was turning out for revlon. westman wanted "to create a look that was a little bit 90s punk, but still looked feminine and soft," which she accomplished by keeping the makeup very pure. she focused a lot on the brow {using revlon brow fantasy}, to "create a touch of drama." the entire face was beautiful, but my f-a-v-o-r-i-t-e part was that she added freckles to all noses!
the talented guido palau {of redken} had his work cut out for him due to the severe heat backstage, which was causing the hair to drop! <gasp> somehow he and his team persevered and created a stunning hairstyle that was wet in the front {using redken hardwear 16 with his fingers}, and dry in the back.
considering a lot of colors {i.e. electric green + cobalt blue} were shown in the clothing, the nails were kept quite simple; half of the models wore revlon polish shade in 'Elegant' and the other half wore 'Spirit' {which will be available in january}. here is the darling nail guru herself, jin soon choi, taking a picture of my nails! #beautymoment
the space was raw and industrial, with a gorgeous glass and steel beam roof. . .

the inspiration for the spring collection was drawn from The Dakar Rally {i.e. think motocross, race car drivers, etc} which was referenced with the cropped and long biker jackets, ankle zip pants, perforated leather tops, and {my fresh pick!} the parachute zip away dress. the designers were quoted to say "it's pushing our idea of what a cool girl wants to wear, clothes to live in and be seen in." oh! the sunnies? {as if rag & bone could rack up any more gold stars} they're oakley.
