holiday ready with ann taylor.

remember a few months ago when ann taylor and i did a blogger collaboration for fall '12 {as seen here}?  well.  we are at it again, but this time in the name of holiday style!  while browsing the AT lookbook for styling selects, i simply could not get these gorgeous peridot pieces out of my head {and we all know i love a monochromatic story}.  my top styling tips for holiday dressing are to always overdress rather than underdress, pile on the sparkle, welcome luxe texture {i.e. metallics, feathers, fur, leather, glitter}, and finish by adding a strong lip for a festive and glamorous touch.

pssst!  want to know my best party planning tip?  tell yourself that guests will arrive thirty minutes earlier than when the party actually begins.  this will give you ample time to get yourself ready to entertain;  whether it's by touching up your makeup, taking a deep breath, or pouring a glass of red wine.

what i'm wearing::  feathered short sleeve top, ℅ ann taylor // deco jacquard ankle pant, ℅ ann taylor // katrina floral ankle strap sandals, ℅ ann taylor // vintage jewelry, via mae's // lips, 'violet frenzy' via revlon // nail color, 'wrapped in rubies' via essie // glitter nail color, 'big money' via sally hansen // photos by keely yount
