DIY chanel inspired pearl sunnies.

new year, new DIY!  when photos started to leak from the 2012 victoria's secret fashion show, i quickly drifted into a fashion coma.  it wasn't due to a gorgeous negligee sighting or the sheer disbelief of an angel's {never ending} set of stems.  no no.  i was awestruck by the vintage chanel sunglasses rihanna donned during her performance!  after scouring the internet, i soon learned that this coveted pair of sunnies from the fashion house's 1994 spring collection was currently retailing for a hefty $3,200.  {ahem} this is precisely where my little DIY came into play… 

for my starter shades, i went with the brian atwood x target pair because of the retro-round design and funky purple hue.  {available here}  the sparkly stones around the lens also worked out really nicely, since i decided only to take the pearls halfway around the sunglasses.          

the checklist is simple:  sunglasses + pearls + glue.  what do ya think?!
