hi hi!  anna here, reporting live from new york fashion week-- and you guys, it's freaking frigid; we're talking -8 vibes.  packing for temps like this can no doubt be a bit tricky but i have a few tricks up my sleeve; wear your bulkiest items to the airport, pile on the moisturizer [this one is my #1 go to], and layer layer layer. 

on a related travel note, i'm so elated to announce that one of my all-time favourite lines, haute hippie, has invited me to collaborate with them on a little project-- i'll be chatting over on their blog this week about my travel motto, must see places during travel, how to stay stylish at the airport, etc [the first of a three part series where we'll be covering topics i'm into like music x personal style]. this look was pulled together featuring pieces from the upcoming spring / summer '15 HH collection that will soon be available at lola.  it was an absolute blast + who doesn't love a sneak peek?  is this trench overlay not too insane?  it is designed with shorts, so you can wear it as a dress as well... yes please.

desert daze.

on a recent market trip to l.a. we stopped in the desert to go to joshua tree national park [this place is an absolute treasure x a must see x completely breathtaking].  we did a quick editorial shoot // capturing a captivating landscape + equally stunning products.  no, i'm not a self-proclaimed zen person or anything like that but i seriously wanted to lay down + "be one with the the world" [or something of the sort].  it was such a quiet x magical place.  i hope each of you can experience it one day.  below are a few of my favorite images from our shoot in the wild wild west . . .

H&M's 50 States of Fashion.

well, it officially feels like summer here in new york.  hemlines are rising, color is everywhere, music festivals abound {governors ball this weekend, anyone?}, and the layers are quickly shedding... because it has been h-o-t!  to beat the heat, my adorable new buddy {miss. hilary of dean street society} and i cooled off with a couple of wendy's frostys after tooling around in her brooklyn 'hood.  one part yummy x one part cute accessory?  win win!

while visiting my hometown {fayetteville, ar} last month for northwest arkansas fashion week, my uber talented photographer friend keely yount asked if i would style a last minute shoot.  when i say "last minute," i mean that all moving parts were pulled together in approx. about 30 minutes.  you know those rare times when you're getting dressed, quickly throw on some clothes, and somehow it turns out to be your best work?  i'd compare this to that.  there was no time to over-think, or over-work... it was just simple + beautiful happenstance.  here are the results...
