breaking dawn: 'black carpet' styling gig.

a few weeks ago an old friend of mine from high school, marlane barnes, gave me a buzz asking for some wardrobe assistance.  not just any assistance, mind you.  marlane happens to be a {very} talented actress living in LA, who has an upcoming role {as maggie} in the next twilight movie!

you may already know from my twitter + facebook pages, but i was fortunate enough to dress this gorgeous darling for the 'black carpet' premiere of breaking dawn in LA last night!!  marlane has an itty bitty frame, so we wanted to find something that would show off her petite waist--  what better way to do that than with a vintage number from the 50s?  we were so fortunate to find this amazing chiffon dress at a fabulous vintage shop out of portland.  as a subtle nod to her character's irish background, we incorporated emerald green jewels into marlane's look {all of which were found at mae's}.  after some sparkley gold accessories were added to the mix, red polish was applied to her nails, and her curly locks were swept up. . . she was ready to hit the red black carpet!

once all of the final details were squared away, i cozied up with a glass of wine to watch the live stream of the premiere unfold on MTV last night.  to my surprise, the doorbell rang.  as if handing me this fun opportunity wasn't enough, marlane surprised me with a breathtaking arrangement of flowers and a lovely "thank you" note!

i'm now officially hooked + ready to dress the remainder of tinseltown. . . any takers?!

yours truly-
