a white tie affair.

on friday my mom, sister, and i attended a luncheon and book signing by Ree Drummond, the pioneer woman.  while it is no secret that cooking isn't my favorite thing to do, i'll never shy away from an opportunity to hear a successful entrepreneur tell her story.  she spoke about how she first began blogging, the jitters of her first t.v. appearance, beating bobby flay in a thanksgiving throwdown, cooking with the legendary paula dean, and her excitement about her new food network show. . . talk about a busy woman!  she was charming, delightful, poised and humble.  as if i wasn't already mesmerized, she then complimented me on my "top knot". . . how in the world does she have the time to learn what a "top knot" is??  beyond impressive.
